【菅原茂氏のプロフィール】
昭和24年8月29日生、岩手県出身。
小学5年生の頃にNHK「魔法の小箱」を観て奇術に興味を持ち、昭和39年にプロを目指して上京する迄、本により独習。
昭和40年 松旭斎天洋に出会い、教えを受けながら数々の舞台を踏み、また百貨店のディーラーを経験する。
昭和44年 株式会社テンヨー(当時は株式会社天洋)製品開発課所属、オリジナルの開発に励む。
昭和49年 同じくテンヨーの近藤博氏とともに渡米、全米のマジックショップを視察する。
昭和53年 第10回石田天海賞受賞。
シースルーカード(昭和51年)、スクイズプレー(昭和52年)、アルファトンネル(昭和59年)、ノット・ファンタジー(昭和61年)、クリスタルボックス(平成6年)、フォーチュンドーナツ(平成19年)等を考案、商品化。
ダイナミックコイン(昭和50年、近藤博氏と共同開発)、サイキックペン(平成15年、新機構考案)等、テンヨーより発売されたほぼ総ての奇術関連製品開発に携わる。
アイディアを商品にする為に必要な図面化作業も担い、数多くの設計を手掛けた。
平成19年 株式会社テンヨーを退社。
